The students who have completed the Master’s Degree Programme in Teaching, Learning and Media Education will
- have a solid understanding of learning and student engagement and how to support them in different educational environments and contexts.
- be able to critically evaluate, design and develop educational practices, and learning materials for the media- and technology-saturated society
- be able to apply scientific knowledge and research methods in different educational environments and contexts.
- be able to contribute to renewal of curriculum and educational practices, policies, and systems.
- be capable of making ethical and research-based choices in their professional roles

Content description

The programme consists of versatile subject studies framed in a digitalized and media-saturated society. The programme considers learning in various digital contexts and designing engaging instruction. The studies offer insights into game-based learning, media education, digital literacies, inclusive education, curriculum studies, and quality of education. The methodological studies and master’s thesis project deepen students’ expertise. The programme considers education from multiple perspectives, such as educational sciences, pedagogical, and sociocultural perspectives. Further, students can include elective studies from other fields of science in their degree.
